  • Illinois in a Box
    Illinois in a Box provides branded resources for your university event, on loan, free or at minimal cost, including banners, tablecloths, props for photo opportunities, On Campus magazines and giveaway items.
  • Webtools
    Webtools is a free web application suite of communications tools. Our applications are designed and developed to meet the needs of the university community.
  • Image Database
    The Image Database provides consistent, quality images that University of Illinois faculty and staff can use for free.
  • Filming on Campus
    If you would like to film at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Public Affairs can guide you through the filming authorization process.
  • Social Media
    Public Affairs manages the campus social media accounts and creates the university’s strategies for each of the social platforms. We provide campus communicators with a number of best practices and as well as specific social media services for unit social media managers.
  • Crisis Communications
    Public Affairs staff have decades of experience providing communications leadership. We have access to resources and information that can help you. If your unit is facing a sensitive situation, you don’t have to respond to it alone. Public Affairs wants to be your strongest advocate, even in the toughest of times.
  • Eweek
    Public Affairs manages Eweek, a weekly email newsletter with brief summaries of campus announcements of general interest to faculty members and staff of the University of Illinois.
  • University Guide Magazine
    Public Affairs publishes this full-color magazine each year. Individuals can view a digital copy online or get a print copy from Illinois in a Box.
  • Request a Chancellor Communication
    Chancellor communications include speeches, videos, quotes for news releases or marketing materials, brochure or program messages and congratulatory letters. University officials and CCOs may submit a request for consideration.
  • Request a Provost Communication
    Provost communications include speeches, videos, quotes for news releases or marketing materials, brochure or program messages, and congratulatory letters.
  • Media Training
    Our media relations experts can teach you the essentials to effectively sharing your stories with the media. Training opportunities are offered for individuals as well as groups.
  • Communications Mailing Lists
    Public Affairs manages a number of email mailing lists for campus communicators to share information, to ask questions and to provide advice on best practices.
  • Submit a Story
    Public Affairs shares and promotes content that strategically communicates the value of the university and connects with our audiences. If you have a great University of Illinois story to tell, share it with Public Affairs.
  • Procedures for Accepting Advertising
    By university policy, advertising in campus publications and on university websites must first be reviewed and approved by Public Affairs.
